Alexandre Herculano Schools Invest in International Training with Erasmus Program
The Alexandre Herculano School Group has implemented significant strategies for its internationalization through the Erasmus Accreditation program. This project focuses on the ongoing training of teachers and the sharing of good practices with foreign educational institutions. This project aims to promote the ongoing training of teachers and facilitate the sharing of good practices with educational institutions abroad. In January and February 2025, several teachers participated in a training course abroad that focuses on innovative teaching methodologies, creating opportunities for professional growth and cultural exchange. International Teacher Training Between January 13 and 17, a group of three teachers from the group traveled to St. Julian, Malta, where they enrolled in the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) course. This training, provided by the Executive Training Institute Malta (ETI), addressed bilingual teaching strategies, aligned with the existing Bilingual Schools program implemented at the institution. The learning acquired will be disseminated among the other educators in the group, strengthening the quality of teaching. Soon after, between February 3 and 7, another group of three teachers participated in a course in Berlin, Germany, focused on the area of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Approval of the Erasmus Accreditation Program The Erasmus Accreditation project was approved in January 2023, allowing the Agrupamento de Escolas Alexandre Herculano to become anErasmus Accredited School by 2027 .
