Students and educators from four nations welcomed to the Conservatory through the Erasmus+ Programme

The Conservatory – School of Arts of Madeira, Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode, had the honor of welcoming, within the scope of the Erasmus+ program, students and educators from four European countries. The initiative, which took place between March 17 and April 4, 2025, promoted a diverse cultural exchange, allowing the meeting of talents and the exchange of experiences between the different participating nationalities. During these 18 days, the Conservatory transformed itself into a true hub of international education, promoting the mobility of students and teachers through a rich learning program. Welcoming Students and Educators to the Conservatory The welcoming of the participating groups was carefully structured in three distinct moments. In the institution’s Main Hall, each group was welcomed with a musical performance by Madeiran string players, under the direction of professors Roberto Moritz and Roberto Moniz. The welcome party, called Madeira d’Honra, offered visitors a tasty introduction to the local cuisine, including delicacies such as honey cake and Madeira wine, kindly provided by the Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Crafts Institute. The first reception took place on 17 March, with students and teachers from Finland (Concis – Lahti Conservatory) and Poland (Zespół Państwowych Szkół Muzycznych nr 4 im. Karola Szymanowskiego). On 24 March, it was the turn of the group from Estonia (Tallinna Muusika- ja Balletikool / MUBA) to be welcomed.

Finally, on 31 March, students and teachers from Spain (Conservatorio Profesional de Música ‘Francesc Peñarroja’ de La Vall d’Uixó) arrived at the Conservatory.

  • This welcoming process was essential to ensure that all participants felt welcome and integrated.
